Yes. On each card you can show the word's meaning in a language you already know: English plus Tamil, Hindi, Russian, German, French, Chinese, Italian, Arabic, Spanish, Korean, and Japanese. The Sinhala and the romanized spelling stay the same. You pick your helper language when you first open the app, and you can change it anytime by tapping the gear icon to open Settings.

The flashcards, the Alphabet, and the Phrases are all spoken by a native speaker. On a flashcard, tap the picture to hear the word, with a slowed syllable-by-syllable version. In the Alphabet, tap to hear the letter's sound, then its example word. In Phrases, tap to hear the phrase, then a slower take. The Quiz is the one part with no spoken playback.

Open Settings (the gear icon) and make sure Sound is turned on and the volume is up. Tikiri is designed to play even when your device is on silent, so children can always hear the words.

Finishing a deck is a little milestone! Completing the first decks unlocks new ones, and Tikiri will gently let you know when there are more decks to explore in Settings.

No. Tikiri is completely free, with everything included. There's an optional tip jar for grown-ups who'd like to support the app, but it's never required and unlocks nothing. It's just a kind way to say thanks.

No. Once installed, Tikiri works fully offline, including all the audio, so it's perfect for car rides, flights, and anywhere else. The only things that need a connection are leaving an optional tip and tapping external links.
